The cypress, for ages, has been used to create Buddhist statues, temples and sanctuaries. The blocks of wood have been cut from 20 trees older than 300 years and from them we cut 50 flanks. With this flanks we created this bathtub.
The traditional material that represents Japan itself, the lacquer, is resistant to bacteria and does not dissolve even at high temperatures like 800℃. For this reasons it is perfect for a bathtub. Realizing this bathtub, we made the most of these lacquer`s peculiarities and, using the traditional techniques, applied on the body of the bathtub the polyurethane form in order to create a strong but extremely light weight.
